In 2004 Stuart saw the need
for direct “at source” extraction and hence his new
company AtSource Extraction Systems was born. He knows when ordinary
ventilation is suffi cient and when extraction is needed at the
source. Nobody likes wearing masks, they’re hot, they’re
stifl ing, they give workers a rash, there are now better ways!
The flexibility of Nederman arms mean they can easily be placed
just wherever they’re needed. Direct at-source extraction
of dust and fumes at the point of emission is a widely recognised
and accepted method of eliminating airborne contaminants from
the workplace.
Stuart Chisnall and the team have been the New Zealand Distributor
for Nederman since 2007. Over 60 years experience has helped Nederman
to become a world leader in dust and smoke extraction, and exhaust
fume extraction. With sales in more than 50 countries and its

Stuart Chisnall
Stuart has been in the ventilation industry since
he left school over 40 years ago, with the last 35 years specialising
in industrial ventilation.
He has seen huge changes in the industry in that time as technology
has caught up and finally advanced good practice. Back then when
you were fibreglassing a water tank you relied on a venturi, a
large external fan using a reverse motor system to blow away the
fumes. One man we spoke to recently thought he was dying whilst
fibreglassing inside a water tank.
Today you can bring the extraction arm right to your place of
work and extract the noxious fumes right at the source.
During his career Stuart has been involved in every type of system
for every industry imaginable, from laboratory extraction systems
for food processing plants, through to welding fume and dust removal
from heavy engineering fabrication shops.
Jared Chisnall
 Jared
has been with AtSource almost since its inception.
He completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in 2001 then having
worked in the industrial ventilation industry in his university
holidays he came on board AtSource in 2004.
Jared is practical with a “can do” attitude and has
a good rapport working with clients and subcontractors to get
the job done.
He has completed Nederman product training in Sweden and courses
in Shanghai to advanced level in Nederman High Vacuum Systems
and dust explosion protection.
On Nederman’s specialised NEDQuote program Jared can produce
detailed drawings of customers’ jobs, with quality 3D images
showing exactly how our equipment would look and work. These same
drawings are used by our experienced site teams so that what you
see is what you get. No surprises guaranteed!
Jared has been instrumental in advising other Nederman Employees
and Distributors about best practice for Emergency Vehicle Fume
Extraction Systems of which he has worldwide knowledge and expertise.
